These are the tentative dates for the GWHL Special Events Calender. The dates mentioned here are from the 'season schedule' (Season is 130 days long). We will try to stay with this schedule as best we can. Should changes be required, ample notice will be given to help you with your league planning/duties. 

List of Events:

Free Agency Deadline to sign players DURING the season (from Day 14 to Day 80, same as the trade deadline) 

Trading and Free Agent Signing Freeze (Day 64 to Day 67) **before/during the All-Star break** 

All-Star Player Nominations (from Day 30 to Day 32 -- owners send list of players for their conference only) 

All-Star Voting Process (from Day 40 to Day 66 -- web-based voting process) 

All-Star Coach named (highest winning % in conference after Day 68) 

All-Star Game played (after Day 70 --- a 3 day break will be given for the "All-Star Weekend") 

Trade Deadline (Day 90)

Trade Grace Period (from Day 67 to Day 90)  This is immediately after the All-Star game for 2 weeks time where owners can exceed salary cap limits. 

Year End Awards Nominations (Day 120 to Day 124) 

Year End Awards Voting (2-3 days AFTER regular season completed but before playoffs start) 

Playoff MVP Award (voted 2 days after championship game) 

Year End Awards Announcement (3-4 days after the championship completed) 

Great White Scouting Bureau Rankings of Prospects (Day 35, Day 70 and Day 105 will have player reports available) 

Prospect Draft 2001 (2 evenings x 2 rounds/evening about 3 weeks after the championship) 

Free Agency Signing in the offseason (Immediately after the Prospect Draft 2001 is complete) 

Start of Next Preseason 2001 (2 weeks after the Prospect Draft 2001)
